    About Us

    Our History

The NAA was launched in March 2004 backed with the support of regional government funding. In 2010, the funding landscape changed and as a result, we became an independent, not-for-profit company. Fast forward to the present and we now have circa 90 member companies from across the North of England.

    What We Offer

We provide a membership service combined with a project management delivery function. Our services range from strategic, business and technical advice to the provision of training, funding application support and our sponsored awards.  For more information on membership benefits, click here

    Our Vision and Mission

The strength of the automotive sector in the North, lies in its diversity. Our unique cluster, ranging from volume car manufacturers to truck and specialist vehicle manufacturers, paves the way for innovation, increased productivity and endless opportunities.

Our Vision is to develop and build upon the North’s rich automotive heritage through our services to member companies.

Our Mission is to provide tailored support to our member companies, helping them to succeed in what they do best.

    Our Partners

We strongly believe in partnership and collaboration, with both industry and public sector organisations. We are proud to have long-standing partnerships with the Department for Business and Trade as well as regional universities and colleges; and local councils and LEP’s. In addition, we collaborate with relevant trade organisations such as the SMMT; Automotive Council; Make UK; and other key organisations such as the Advanced Propulsion Centre and Innovate UK.
